Reinforcing Design-Cast 66

In order to obtain the best properties, you must reinforce DESIGN-CAST 66—EITHER by adding fiberglass, OR by adding aggregates. Use fiberglass if you want thin castings— typically three-eighths (3/8) inch thick. Add aggregates when you are casting thick sections (typically several inches or more thick) or when you want a special texture or appearance on the surface of the piece which the aggregate will produce.

You can use fiberglass in the underlying or back-up layer, and aggregate in the surface layer of the casting, but generally you can not use both in the SAME LAYER of DESIGN-CAST.
